Technical assistance
what we do
We deliver hands-on technical expertise to help producers plan smarter, manage their land better, and unlock the funding needed to grow.
-
Using a diagnostic approach, Secana Co designs locally adapted, cost-effective seed mixes for permanently fallow lands — restoring ground cover that supports healthy grazing, thriving wildlife, and long-term land productivity. We coordinate inputs and custom work to get the job done effectively.
-
From water budgeting and drought-resilient practices to vertical integration and multi-generational strategy, Secana Co helps farm and ranch families build operations that are productive today and sustainable for decades to come.
-
Secana Co identifies and pursues private and public funding opportunities to help fuel your vision — handling everything from application strategy and writing to fiscal management and verification so you can focus on the work, not the paperwork.
returning circles
Returning Circles is a revegetation initiative focused on the ecologically viable and economically resilient restoration of retired croplands in the San Luis Valley. The project involves 120 acres at Klecker Ranch, where native grasses are being reestablished to reduce wind erosion, improve soil health, and enhance water retention.
By using locally adapted seed mixes and regenerative land practices, Returning Circles serves as a replicable model for post-irrigation land use in the region.
The project demonstrates how ecological recovery and rural livelihoods can move forward together in response to drought and water scarcity.
This $20,000 project, funded by Zero Foodprint, was designed and managed by SECANA Co in 2024.
