THE SECANA APPROACH

Secana partners with farms, food businesses, and rural communities across the San Luis Valley and the arid West to carry working lands strategy from plan to reality. Our Project Management practice runs the full lifecycle of a working lands initiative — strategy and planning, fundraising, contractor coordination and implementation, monitoring and verification, and storytelling — so our partners can stay focused on running their business. Our Revegetation Program turns retired and fallowed cropland into ground that's still working, just working differently: reducing erosion, rebuilding forage, and restoring habitat value through funding, permitting, and implementation we manage end to end. Our Markets Program carries producers' work from the field to the sale, handling the logistics, marketing, branding, and relationships in between — because we believe that when people know what's behind a product, they vote for it.
